If there is one thing that a graphic designer is waiting for, than that “thing” is Nike. I had the opportunity to work for my first time with Nike in May this year on their internal project – Nike Athlete Book. Here are some words about it, extracted from the book.

You are the world’s elite athletes.
With your millions of fans across the world what you stand for makes a huge impact. This high profile influence is not easily won. It is a gift that shouldn’t be taken for granted. Few people possess the physical gifts you have. Fewer still are willing to put in the time, sweat, pain and daily sacrifice it takes to become the best. And it’s the rare athlete who has the perspective and generosity of spirit to take the time to give back.

So if you never worked with big brand, you though: “Ok now I will be rich but it will be a pain in the ass to please the guys because probably they will give me a 50 pages brief and an hue brand book”….I was really surprised when, my contact person from Nike was like: “Stephan, all we need from you is 4 things: go absolutely wild, sign it with your style, do it dynamic and please let us space in the right down corner for text” So you probably know the result. You can also see photos with the Nike Athlete Book here. It was a really great experience to work on this project with Nike team and soon you will see more Nike projects coming from me.
And because I could manage to get my hand on a camera I took some pictures with the Noise5 book too. So you can see some nice finishing prints techniques.
